About
About this event
"Même la mère" is an art exhibition at the Galeria del Tossal, presented through cooperation between Valencia’s city council and the French city of Angers. The show, by Angers-based artist Choun Vilayleck, marks a new milestone in artistic exchange between the two European cities. Trained at the School of Fine Arts in Angers, Vilayleck works with volume and drawing, creating each sculpture from metal structures that he shapes by hand. The pieces cast their shadows on the Islamic wall, creating a movement that recalls the sea. The title plays on the French words for sea and mother, suggesting the idea of motherhood as a source of life. The exhibition is on view at the Galeria del Tossal, a museum space run by the City of Valencia in the central Plaça del Tossal. It remains open to the public until 3 May, with visiting hours from Tuesday to Saturday, 4 pm to 7 pm, and on Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.
