Fundación Bancaja has presented in Valencia the exhibition Tàpies. Última década. 2002-2012, a monographic show devoted to Antoni Tàpies, one of the leading figures of 20th-century art and a major international representative of Art Informel. The exhibition focuses on his late work from 2002 until his death in 2012, bringing together a selection of representative pieces from a less familiar period of his six-decade career. It traces the continuity of the ideas and forms that shaped his distinctive artistic language, while showing how his painting became increasingly direct, free and refined in his final years.
