About

About this event

Galería Thema opens a new solo exhibition devoted entirely to the work of Xavi García. The show brings together some of his most representative recent series and presents an artistic practice shaped by reflections on contemporary identity, the impact of technology, and the human relationship with the surrounding environment. Using a forceful, material visual language, García combines painting, sculpture, and urban elements to create works of strong expressive power. QR codes, posters, maps, and industrial textures appear throughout the pieces as signs of a hyperconnected society in constant change. The exhibition offers a survey of García’s creative world, with works that build distinctly contemporary visual narratives. Bright colors, dense surfaces, and integrated urban references give the pieces a strong plastic presence while prompting questions about identity and belonging in today’s society. Featured series include Citizens, which focuses on the tension between individual authenticity and social pressure; Autorretratos, in which the artist examines the digitization of identity; and Urban Roots and Bosque, two series that explore the emotional and social links between nature, the city, and the human being. The exhibition also includes Niñas, a series of figures turned into symbols of hope and social and environmental advocacy.
