A close look at the memory of matter and contemporary botany, this exhibition brings together six artists based in Valencia to explore the beauty of the ephemeral, the marks left by time, and the force of nature when it moves beyond its original form. At Abyss Artspace, the artists share an interest in the vegetal world that goes beyond ornament or scientific documentation. What connects their work is a sustained focus on process: dehydration, oxidation, physical imprinting, and controlled decay. Here, botany appears as a material force that acts on other materials and on the viewer.
