Luis Adelantado presents El pie del bosque, the fourth solo exhibition by Lamarche–Ovize at the gallery. The duo’s practice moves between drawing, ceramics and installation, using these media to build open-ended narratives in which material and symbolic elements are closely linked. The exhibition brings together drawings, paintings, screenprints and sculptural works conceived as fragments of a larger story. Rather than illustrating a fixed plot, the works use narrative as a way of thinking through objects, images and their relationships. The forest evoked in the exhibition is not a naturalistic setting but a symbolic and expansive terrain shaped by plant, animal and hybrid forms. The show draws on historical decorative traditions and bestiary-like imagery while also reflecting a contemporary interest in the connections between the living, the ornamental and the narrative. The sculptures, positioned between the functional and the fantastical, reinforce this ambiguity and extend the visual language of the works on paper. The installation invites a slow, attentive reading in which each piece acts as a point of support for a broader story.
