The adventurous explorer Tadeo Jones, one of Spanish animation’s most popular characters on both the big and small screen, arrives in Valencia this summer. The Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia will host a major commemorative exhibition from July 1 to September 18 to mark the character’s 25th anniversary. Organized by the Valencia International Children’s Film Festival (Ficiv), the family-oriented cultural program invites visitors into the world of the beloved explorer through original drawings, international posters, screenings, graphic materials, and recreations of some of the most iconic settings from his adventures. The exhibition also traces how Tadeo Jones was created and highlights the creative and technical process behind a franchise that has become one of the biggest successes in Spanish animation. One of the main attractions is a themed escape room inspired by "Tadeo Jones 4: The Wonderful Lamp", the franchise’s new film, which will reach cinemas on August 26. The film is produced by Telecinco Cinema, Lightbox Animation Studios, Ikiru Films, Anangu Grup, and Tadeo Films AIE, with the participation of Mediaset España, Movistar Plus+, and Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group, funding from ICAA, support from ICEC, and theatrical distribution by Paramount Pictures Spain. Designed for families, the activity challenges participants to solve clues and complete tasks in an immersive experience that places them at the center of an archaeological expedition. Tickets are available at the Ateneo box office and on its website. Both the exhibition and the escape room are open daily from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Exhibition tickets range from 8 euros for groups of more than five people, Ateneo members, children under 12, and retirees, to 10 euros for general admission. Combined admission to the exhibition and escape room costs 14 euros for the reduced-rate categories and 16 euros for general admission.
