The National Museum of Ceramics and Decorative Arts “González Martí”, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Romania in the Valencian Community, presents an exhibition devoted to the Romanian blouse, one of the most emblematic expressions of Romania’s cultural heritage. The display brings together a selection of blouses and other garments from different regions of the country, made mainly in the first half of the 20th century, alongside pieces produced during the communist period, offering a view of how Romanian textile traditions have evolved over time. Many of the works come from Romanian residents of the Valencian Community, who have shared part of their family and cultural heritage with the public. Through these garments and the stories attached to them, the exhibition traces the richness of embroidery, regional diversity, knowledge passed down through generations, and the significance of the blouse as a symbol of identity, memory, and belonging. It can be visited from 23 June to 2 August 2026 in the museum’s Temporary Exhibition Room III.
